TURKISH AIRLINES, TURKISH TECHNIC and TAI will join forces to design and manufacture aircraft components

TURKISH AIRLINES, TURKISH TECHNIC Inc. and Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) launched agreement to design and manufacture all types of aircraft cabin interior systems and components, logistic support, modification and also to provide marketing services under Joint Venture. 

TURKISH AIRLINES, TURKISH TECHNIC Inc. and TAI agreed to the launch of a joint venture company to manufacture Aircraft Cabin Interior products in Istanbul, Turkey. The joint venture company, known as Turkish Cabin Interior Systems Inc. will design and manufacture all types of aircraft cabin interior systems and components, logistic support, modification and provide marketing services as well. 

The Joint Venture Company will manufacture Galley, Pilot & Stewardess Crew Rest, Magazine Racks, Literature Pocket, Divider & Wind Screen, Doghouse & Bustle, Stowage, Coatroom, Video Control Compartment and Stairhouse products. The manufacturing company aims to acquire share from the market worldwide. 

“We are gathering our technical and marketing expertise under the same roof with TAI for excellence in order to be in premier league of manufacturing in cabin interior systems business. Moreover, within this aggressive expansion, we would like to prove how aircraft cabin interior products can be produced in high quality under %100 Turkish brand. We claim that Turkey will be a maintenance, repair and also manufacturing hub that should be taken seriously via this structuring in the near future.” said TURKISH AIRLINES and TURKISH TECHNIC Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hamdi Topcu.

Sky Airlines signed maintenance contract for A321 with TURKISH TECHNIC

Had performed the heavy maintenances of 3 A320 Aircrafts in TURKISH TECHNIC on the first quarter of 2010 and prefered TURKISH TECHNIC in structural and component maintenance services throughout the year, Sky Airlines decided to carry out the Re-delivery Check and Paint Service of its A321 Aircraft in TURKISH TECHNIC. The maintenance is performed between December 2010 and January 2011. 

Sky Airlines declared that they prefer TURKISH TECHNIC in detailed meintenances like Redelivey Checks with respect to its variety of the back workshops, diversified component capability and experienced technical staff. Sky Airlines officers thanked TURKISH TECHNIC for its supportive contribution based on long term relationship.

Yakutia Airlines signed maintenance contracts for 2 B737NG with TURKISH TECHNIC

TURKISH TECHNIC, had signed maintenance services agreements for one base maintenance C check on B737NG (VQ-BEO) and one base maintenance A check on B737NG (VQ-BOY) with Yakutia Airlines. Maintenance activities will be carried at TURKISH TECHNIC’s facilities in Istanbul, Turkey; during December 2010.

Tailwind Airlines signed maintenance contract for B737-400 with TURKISH TECHNİC

TURKISH TECHNIC signed a C Check maintenance services agreement for two base maintenance C checks on Boeing B737-400 with Tailwind Airlines. Maintenance works will be carried at TURKISH TECHNIC’s facilities in Istanbul, Turkey during January 2011.

TURKISH TECHNIC and Türk Hava Kurumu have signed Landing Gear Overhaul Services for THK’s whole Bombardier CL-215 fleet consisting of 14 Sets. Overhaul services will be carried out at TURKISH TECHNIC’s Landing Gear shop in Istanbul, Turkey.

TURKISH TECHNIC and Saga Airlines Boost Cooperation

With the attendance of both companies’ top management to the internal ceremony on 17th of September 2010, held at TURKISH TECHNIC facilities in Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, TURKISH TECHNIC and Saga Airlines have signed eight different maintenance agreements. - Performance of redelivery checks and painting for two B737-400 aircraft - Performance of the C check of an A330 aircraft

- Performance of the overhaul of a GTCP131-9B APU including spare support, (and will be expanded in very near future to cover all B737NG fleet of SAGA)

TURKISH TECHNIC and Zorlu O&M Power Plant Operation and Maintenance Services

TURKISH TECHNIC and Zorlu O&M Power Plant Operation and Maintenance have signed a “Joint Venture Company General Principles Agreement” to enable the maintenance, repair and overhaul of certain aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines used in power plants that were not covered within the business scopes of their current partnerships. Where both companies are equal shareholders, a partnership based on technical knowledge, international experience, experienced technical personnel and a strong brand name is being formed. 

In 2009, there were 46,455 units of industrial gas turbines in working condition in the market worldwide. The maintenance market of these turbines is valued at nearly 18.3 Billion US Dollars. The regions around Turkey comprise 20% of this maintenance market. The joint venture that will be formed with the partnership of TURKISH TECHNIC and Zorlu O&M Power Plant Operation and Maintenance is aiming to become a company that targets the need for maintenance of industrial gas turbines in Turkey and its neighboring countries that became apparent in recent years. 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of TURKISH AIRLINES and TURKISH TECHNIC Hamdi Topcu said, “TURKISH TECHNIC, while continuing its strategic cooperation with leading firms in the aviation industry, aims to bring in domestic companies into the aviation industry and make Turkey an aviation base.” Mr. Hamdi Topcu further continued, “There has been a business relationship between Zorlu Holding, Zorlu Energy Group and TURKISH TECHNIC for a long time.
