Turkish Seat Industries (TSI)
TSI Uçak Koltuk Üretimi San ve Tic. A.Ş. (TSI Aviation Seats Production Industry and Trade Co. Inc.) was established as a joint venture of Kibar Holding, Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic companies. TSI has been producing aviation seats under its EASA and FAA authorizations; and the seats produced are used on A320, A330, B737 and B777 aircraft series. TSI manufactures aviation seat spare parts under its PMA (Parts Manufacturing Authority) authorization and renders maintenance services under its 145 certificate. Having two production lines in Istanbul and Utah, TSI conducts design, engineering, manufacturing and R&D activities under its own structure.
As a result of the audits conducted by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), the company received ADOA (Alternative Procedures to Design Organisation Approval) in November 2012 and POA (Production Organization Approval) in December 2013; and the company has been manufacturing aviation seats under its EASA and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) approvals.
With its team of 70 personnel, TSI conducts design, engineering, manufacturing and R&D activities in its new facilities covering an area of 1000 m2 in HABOM (Aviation Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center) pertaining to Turkish Airlines located in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
